Teams around the NHL have called the St. Louis Blues about the potential availability of goaltender Joel Hofer, reports Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli.

While the Blues aren't actively shopping him, they've told interested clubs they're open to receiving offers, Seravalli added.

Hofer has served as Jordan Binnington's backup since the start of the 2023-24 campaign. He's started 55 games over the last two seasons, going 31-20-4 with a .909 save percentage and 10.82 goals saved above expected, per Evolving-Hockey.

The 24-year-old is a pending restricted free agent under team control until 2028. AFP Analytics projects Hofer will earn $2.8 million annually on a two-year contract. The Blues have $5 million in cap space this offseason.

Hofer could generate plenty of interest on the trade market, given the thin unrestricted free agent goalie class. Veteran Jake Allen headlines a group that also includes Alexandar Georgiev, Ilya Samsonov, Alex Lyon, and Vitek Vanecek, among others.

The Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, and Columbus Blue Jackets are among the clubs that could potentially be in the goalie market this summer.
