Nathan MacKinnon has four points in four games, cleary the cooking at the Giguere home is good.
MacKinnon, in his rookie season with the Avalanche, has been living with veteran goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere since the beginning of the season. While Giguere has given the 18-year-old some chores, the only time he's cooking is with his offence on the ice.
“I try to help out as much as I can, though I’m not a very experienced chef," MacKinnon told The Hockey News. "I try to do some little things around the house, but most of it is taken care of."
Having a veteran presence to help with the transition has been extremely beneficial to MacKinnon.
“He’ll share experiences, which is great for me. He’s a 17-year vet, he’s won a Conn Smythe, won a Stanley Cup, plus he’s a goalie, so he’s had a chance to sit back and watch the play; he’s not always in the midst of things. It’s been great to learn from him.”
Colorado currently sits at the top of the Western Conference at 4-0-0.
