Lightning's Vasilevskiy wins Vezina Trophy

Tampa Bay Lightning netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy won the Vezina Trophy on Saturday as the NHL's best goaltender.

Vasilevskiy, now a two-time recipient of the award, beat out New York Islanders goalie Ilya Sorokin and Boston Bruins' Jeremy Swayman.

The 31-year-old has been a Vezina finalist six times in his storied career, tied for third-most in NHL history with Dominik Hasek. Only Martin Brodeur (nine) and Patrick Roy (seven) have more.

Vasilevskiy led the league with 39 wins and posted a 2.31 GAA and .912 save percentage over 58 games during the 2025-26 campaign. He earned 17 first-place votes.
