With new ownership now in place, the Buffalo Bills will no longer be playing games north of the border.
The organization and Rogers Communications have officially come to an agreement to terminate the Bills Toronto Series, the team announced Wednesday.
Bills president Russ Brandon included a statement with the official announcement:
We greatly appreciate the support we’ve received over the past seven years from all of the tremendous people at Rogers Communications. We will continue to work hard to solidify our footprint in Southern Ontario. Our fan base in this region remains extremely important to our organization and their support has been well documented.
The Bills played six regular season games at Toronto's Rogers Centre from 2008-13 before the two sides agreed to postpone the series earlier this year.
Now, having accomplished their goal of returning all Bills home games to Buffalo, next up for owners Terry and Kim Pegula will be getting the team a new stadium.
