Cheetah outraces Titans' Chris Johnson, but not Bears' Devin Hester
Two of the fastest players in the NFL raced a cheetah on television last night, and one managed to emerge with a victory over the fastest mammal on land.
The one-hour special "Man v. Cheetah" aired on Nat Geo Wild at 9 p.m. ET to kick off the cable channel's "Big Cat Week." It's scheduled to re-air Monday at 8 p.m. ET.
Taped at Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay in May, the special pitted Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson and Chicago Bears return specialist Devin Hester in a 220-foot shuttle race.
The NFL stars were never in any real danger, as a 10-foot wall separated them from the cheetahs they were racing.
In the end, the cheetah edged Johnson in one heat, but Hester emerged victorious in the other.
