Saints' Olave to return for TNF vs. Rams
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave will play Thursday night against the Los Angeles Rams, head coach Dennis Allen announced Wednesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Olave missed his team's Week 15 win over the New York Giants due to an ankle injury.
He was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, and his Wednesday participation is yet to be revealed.
Olave is the Saints' leading receiver this season, boasting 918 receiving yards on 72 receptions. No other player on the team has exceeded 570 receiving yards.
The 23-year-old exceeded 100 receiving yards in two of his last three games.
Both the Saints and Rams are in the thick of the NFC's playoff race with 7-7 records. New Orleans is currently the ninth seed in the conference and holds an identical record as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, the Buccaneers lead the NFC South, as they own the tiebreaker advantage. Meanwhile, the Rams sit in the last wild-card spot.
