Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins will miss Sunday's game against the Houston Texans due to a hamstring injury, the team announced Friday.

Wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase is listed as questionable due to a back injury. He was a limited participant in practice on Thursday and Friday after missing Wednesday's session.

Chase sounds optimistic about his availability versus Houston.

"In my head, I'm playing," Chase said Thursday, according to ESPN's Ben Baby. "So until further notice and anything else, then we'll see."

The 24-year-old Higgins sustained the injury at practice Wednesday and didn't practice Thursday or Friday. He'll be considered week-to-week moving forward, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Thursday.

Higgins is coming off his best game this season - he caught eight passes for 110 yards in Week 9.

Through seven appearances on the campaign, Higgins has racked up 328 yards and two touchdowns on 27 receptions. He also missed Week 5 due to a rib injury.

The Clemson product, whom Cincinnati drafted in the second round in 2020, averaged 71 catches, 1,009 yards, and six touchdowns per year in his first three NFL seasons.

Led by quarterback Joe Burrow, the Bengals are one of the NFL's hottest teams right now. Since starting the season 1-3, they've won four straight contests.
