Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray met with head coach Kliff Kingsbury during his injury absence to talk out the issues between the two sides, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The star quarterback and head coach reportedly came up with a plan - which focuses on communication - to get on the same page, Rapoport adds. A source described the situation to Rapoport as a "blessing in disguise."

The nature of their relationship has been called into question after Murray and Kingsbury were caught trading words on the field this season.

Murray missed the last two games due to a hamstring injury but is slated to return to the starting lineup Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. The 25-year-old put together a 3-6 record prior to the ailment with 12 passing touchdowns and six interceptions.

Kingsbury and Murray both joined the Cardinals in 2019. Since then, the head coach has posted a 28-31-1 record with one playoff appearance.
