A section of Empower Field at Mile High, home of the Denver Broncos, caught fire Thursday afternoon.

The affected area was in a construction zone on the east side of the stadium.

The fire was contained by nearly 75 firefighters approximately 30 minutes after it started, according to ESPN's Jeff Legwold. No injuries were reported.

A Denver Fire Department spokesman said the fire covered "over 1,000 square feet" and began on a suite level of the stadium before spreading into seats, Legwold adds.

Eight suites and between 100-200 seats were damaged, a source told Mike Klis of 9News, who adds the stadium is expected to be fully repaired by the start of Denver's preseason play in August.

The cause of the incident has yet to be announced.

Billowing smoke could also be seen from outside the stadium.
