The Kansas City Chiefs placed running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire on injured reserve Tuesday.

The sophomore will miss at least the next three games.

Edwards-Helaire suffered an MCL sprain in the third quarter of the Chiefs' 38-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills and had to be carried off the field.

The 22-year-old leads the Chiefs with 304 rushing yards. He's also caught two touchdowns and recorded 61 receiving yards this season.

Darrel Williams and Jerick McKinnon are expected to fill in for the tailback in his absence. Williams recorded 27 yards on five carries against Buffalo.
