Malcolm Butler is headed to the Arizona Cardinals.

The veteran cornerback agreed to a one-year contract with the Cardinals, the team announced Thursday.

Butler is a big addition to a Cardinals secondary that lost longtime cornerback Patrick Peterson to the Minnesota Vikings in free agency. He'll likely assume the vacancy left by Peterson.

The Tennessee Titans released Butler earlier this month. The 31-year-old started all 16 games for the Titans last season, recording four interceptions and 14 pass breakups. He also added a career-high 100 tackles.

Butler has grabbed 17 interceptions over his seven-year career with the Titans and New England Patriots. He's famously known for his goal-line interception against the Seattle Seahawks during the Patriots' Super Bowl XLIV victory.

The Cardinals continue to bolster their roster with veteran players this offseason. Arizona has now added J.J. Watt, Rodney Hudson, A.J. Green, and Butler.
