Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery will miss the remainder of the season with a foot injury, a source told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Jeffery reportedly felt something pop in his foot against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. He suffered the non-contact injury at the beginning of a route early in the second quarter and underwent an MRI on Tuesday. The team is still trying to determine what exactly is wrong with Jeffery's foot, according to Garafolo.

The 29-year-old recently missed back-to-back contests in Weeks 11 and 12 but made his return the following week, amassing nine catches for 137 yards and one touchdown against the Miami Dolphins.

He didn't catch a pass before being sidelined against the Giants.

Despite missing three games this season, Jeffery has been Philadelphia's most productive wide receiver in 2019. He leads all Eagles wideouts in receptions (43), yards (490), and touchdowns (4).

Philadelphia snapped its three-game losing streak Monday, keeping its playoff hopes alive. The 6-7 Eagles will face the Washington Redskins on Sunday before a pivotal clash against the Dallas Cowboys.
