The Pittsburgh Steelers and corner Joe Haden agreed to a two-year, $22-million extension including a $16.8-million signing bonus, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Haden has been a staple in the Steelers' secondary since joining the team in 2017 - after he was cut by the AFC North-rival Cleveland Browns. He was entering the final year of his three-year, $27-million contract he initially signed with the team.

The 30-year-old had been dealing with a foot contusion during camp but is projected to be ready for Week 1. He is likely to start at left cornerback, alongside Steven Nelson and Artie Burns.

Haden totaled 63 tackles, two interceptions, and 12 pass breakups in 2018.
