Travis Frederick is getting closer to returning to football.
The Dallas Cowboys' All-Pro center missed the entire 2018 season after he was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome - an autoimmune disease - in the offseason.
Out since August, Frederick now feels he's 90 to 95 percent recovered, he told Mike Leslie of WFAA. The six-year veteran hopes to be able to attend the Cowboys' first offseason workouts in mid-April.
Frederick, a four-time Pro Bowler, was named a First-Team All-Pro for the first time in 2016. He's been the anchor of the Cowboys' offensive line since 2013.
Without him in the lineup, Dallas dropped from second in the league in rushing last season to 10th in 2018.
Guillain-Barre Syndrome is an inflammatory disorder of the peripheral nerves outside the spinal cord and brain.
