Monday night's 54-51 shootout between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams was bad news for Las Vegas sportsbooks.

Michael Grodsky, a spokesperson for William Hill, which operates 108 sportsbooks in Nevada, told ESPN's Ben Fawkes the game resulted in a "healthy seven-figure loss" for the book.

The over/under of 64 points was the highest for an NFL game since at least 1986, according to ESPN Stats & Information research. Grodsky said 69 percent of customers bet the over.

Sportsbook BetOnline.ag also took a big hit.

"We got killed," BetOnline's Dave Mason told Zack Jones of Forbes. "Over 75 percent of the cash was on the over and that cost the house big time."
