The first of three weeks of NFL games in London begins on Sunday and the league is feeling increasingly optimistic about the idea of putting a franchise across the pond.
"We feel the fan demand is here, we feel the stadium infrastructure and optionality is here, we feel the government support is here. We feel the logistics and training side of it are here. We feel very good," NFL executive vice president of international Mark Waller said to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer.
"Like I've always said, the one we can never test for is how does it work week-in and week-out."
The Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders will kick things off at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, while Week 7 will feature the Tennessee Titans versus the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Philadelphia Eagles will play the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8.
Reports have surfaced that Jaguars owner Shad Khan is moving forward with a plan to purchase Wembley Stadium. A new Tottenham stadium is currently under construction and there has been speculation that an NFL franchise could be housed there in the future.
