Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph intends on making a quarterback change for his team's Week 17 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
"The plan is to play Paxton (Lynch). That was kind of the plan last week if he was healthy,” said Joseph, according to Andrew Mason of the team's website.
Lynch was ultimately ruled out in Week 16 due to an ankle injury. Brock Osweiler received his first start since Week 11 in his place. He completed 22 of 38 pass attempts against the Washington Redskins, totaling 193 yards with one interception and no touchdowns.
Lynch, the Broncos' first-round draft selection in 2016, made his lone appearance of the season in a Week 12 start against the Oakland Raiders. He completed nine of 14 attempts for 41 yards with one interception.
