The Buffalo Bills should have their newest weapon on the field for the start of the regular season.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Tuesday that wide receiver Jordan Matthews is on schedule to return for Week 1 after sustaining a chip fracture in his sternum in the first practice with his new team, according to ESPN's Mike Rodak.
Matthews was declared week to week, but he was able to return to practice on a limited basis at the end of last week.
After Anquan Boldin's retirement, the Bills can't afford Matthews to be sidelined for any period of time.
