Rams' Donald on contract negotiations: 'We'll see what happens'

Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald remains in search of a new contract and negotiations are growing contentious with training camp on the horizon.

Donald reported to minicamp earlier in June after skipping voluntary organized team activities, taking part in individual drills.

Rams general manager Les Snead stated on May 22 that both parties were involved in serious negotiations, but a new deal hasn't come to fruition.

Donald doesn't seem to be particularly concerned by the lack of progress, however.

"I’m just working, just grinding and we’ll see what happens," Donald said Thursday on SiriusXM NFL Radio.

Donald is under contract through the 2018 season but after emerging as the NFL's best defensive tackle, the two-time All-Pro wants to be compensated accordingly.

In the interim, Donald is letting the process play out naturally.

"I’m just letting my agents handle that," Donald said. "All I can do is keep working to keep myself in top shape."
