DFS: Dynamic Duos - Tuesday's Top Teammate Plays

Here are the top teammate plays to target for success in Tuesday's main slate:

C Joe Thornton and C/W Joe Pavelski, Sharks (vs. Blue Jackets)

Pavelski is a natural centerman, so on some DFS sites that's where you might find him, but he almost exclusively plays on Thornton's wing these days.

Thornton is arguably the best pure playmaker of this millennium and has consistently made 30-goal scorers out of whoever plays on his wing. Pavelski has shown the ability to produce on his own, but has excelled playing with Jumbo Joe, scoring 37 and 41 goals the past two years.

Pavelski will be much more expensive than Thornton on DFS sites, mainly because even if they get shut out, the former's shot totals give him a higher fantasy floor.

The Columbus Blue Jackets - who allow the second most goals-per-game in the NHL - could have trouble stopping a couple of Joes on the road in the Shark Tank.

C Nathan MacKinnon and W Jarome Iginla, Avalanche (vs. Flames)

Everyone who expected the Flames the build upon their miracle season last year must be incredibly disappointed. They've gotten off to a 3-8-1 start and are allowing 4.08 goals per game - worst in the NHL.

MacKinnon went through a bit of a sophomore slump last season, but looks primed for a breakout year this season. He has 10 points in 11 games, but if you've watched any Avalanche games this year, you've noticed that he's arguably the most explosive and powerful skater in the game.

Iginla is an ageless wonder - the 38-year-old can still be counted on for roughly 30 goals per season. He has eight points in 11 games and will definitely have an extra jump in his stride against his former team.

While the Avalanche have gotten off to an equally poor start, they should safely put out any spark the Flames try to ignite at the Pepsi Center.

C David Krejci and W Loui Eriksson, Bruins (vs. Stars)

Raise your hand if you picked Krejci to win the Hart Trophy. Nobody?

The 29-year-old as been a savior for the suddenly high-powered Bruins. He's fourth in NHL scoring with two less games played than the top three, and he's still dirt cheap on most DFS sites. Until he cools down or his price increases, continue to pick the slick Czech centerman.

Eriksson has also been a great value play with nine points in 10 games. The Swede seems to have finally found his footing in Boston after seven years in Dallas. There should be some extra motivation against his former team, in what many viewed as a one-sided trade with Dallas getting the upper hand.

The Bruins have a good matchup at home against the Stars. While Dallas may be a good team, they're on the second game of a back-to-back, and looked terrible Monday in a 4-1 loss to Toronto.
