Miami safety Kamren Kinchens was carted off the field with 1:58 left in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game against Texas A&M.
Kinchens appeared to sustain the injury after colliding with an opposing player, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel's Adam Lichtenstein. He lay on the field following the play and was awake and talking with trainers as he was being taken off, according to the ABC broadcast.
The star defensive back was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
Kinchens secured an interception and fumble recovery prior to his exit.
The junior star was named an AP first-team All-American and All-ACC first-team member in 2022.
Kinchens racked up 59 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, six interceptions, and six pass breakups last season.
