Colorado head coach Deion Sanders is ready to coach his "butt off" in 2026 after beating bladder cancer.

"Winning," Sanders said Tuesday on "Good Morning America" when asked what he's looking forward to most this upcoming season. "And I'm healthy. I got my health back. I got my swagger back."

Sanders announced he is officially cancer-free after undergoing multiple surgeries over the past year. He also previously dealt with blood clots in the wake of a routine foot surgery and had to have two toes amputated.

The 58-year-old credited early detection, along with his doctors in Colorado, for aiding his recovery. He was honest about the challenges of adapting to his reconstructed bladder and has been open about using adult incontinence underwear.

"You've got a whole new bladder. Your bladder don't know you, you don't know it," Sanders said. "You're peeing in the bed. I remember going to a speaking engagement and the first thing I do ... is grab my crotch because I'm like, 'Oh my God, I hope I haven't peed on myself, I didn't bring another change of clothes.' When you're playing a football game, night game - we played, we're flying back on the plane. First thing you do is wake up and grab your crotch."

The Buffaloes are coming off a 3-9 campaign after they went 9-4 with Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter at the helm the year prior. Their three victories were the fewest in a season under Deion, and they went 1-8 against Big 12 opponents.

Colorado will kick off its 2026 season Sept. 3 against Georgia Tech.
