LaMarcus Aldridge will not travel to Phoenix with the Portland Trail Blazers for Wednesday's game against the Suns.
Aldridge hurt his left thumb Monday night against the Sacramento Kings, banging it off DeMarcus Cousins (see video below). X-rays taken after the game were negative, but the decision was made by coach Terry Stotts and the Blazers' medical staff to keep the All-Star power forward out Wednesday.
Stotts added Tuesday that Aldridge was undergoing more tests.
Aldridge missed time last season with a back contusion. He's averaging 23.2 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks this year.
