Marc Gasol: 'I'm going to rush it and speed the process'
Marc Gasol wants back on the floor, and he doesn't care what medical personnel say about his timeline back.
Asked Monday about his recovery time - estimated in some spaces as more than two months - Gasol didn't want to put a number on it:
They try to give me a week -- three, four, six. I don't care what number they say, I told them as soon as I can put my foot down on the floor and I can walk, I'm going to rush it and speed the process."
Unfortunately, it will be at least "three to four weeks" before Gasol is off of crutches, meaning even if he speeds up the timeline, the Memphis Grizzlies will be without him for upwards of a month.
On Monday, the Grizzlies lost their first game without the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, falling 93-86 to the Houston Rockets.
