As the Chicago Bulls explore a number of options for their head coaching vacancy, they're interested in BYU lead man Kevin Young and have had early conversations with him, sources told ESPN's Jamal Collier.
Tiago Splitter of the Portland Trail Blazers, Micah Nori of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Johnnie Bryant of the Cleveland Cavaliers, ex-Golden State Warriors assistant Jerry Stackhouse, and Lamar Skeeter of the Charlotte Hornets are also among the candidates for the Bulls' opening, adds Collier.
Young spent the past two seasons with the Cougars, guiding the program to a 49-22 mark and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. The school finished in KenPom's top 15 for adjusted offensive efficiency in both campaigns.

Young was an assistant for the Phoenix Suns (2020-24) and Philadelphia 76ers (2016-20) before being hired by the Cougars.
