Luka Doncic is rejoining the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday after traveling to Spain to receive multiple injections for his Grade 2 left hamstring strain, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

The Lakers previously ruled out Doncic for at least the remainder of the regular season. The six-time All-Star reportedly sought specialized medical treatment in Europe to potentially speed up his recovery.

Doncic apparently decided to seek outside care after talking with the Lakers' doctors and his own medical team.

Los Angeles is also without Austin Reaves for at least four-to-six weeks due to an oblique injury.

The Lakers ended the regular season on a three-game win streak after dropping their first two contests without the two guards.

LeBron James took the reins in their absence, averaging 25.5 points, 11 assists, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.5 steals over his last four appearances.

Los Angeles finished fourth in the Western Conference and will take on the Houston Rockets in the opening round of the playoffs.
