Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is expected to return from a 16-game absence Monday versus the Memphis Grizzlies, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The NBA recently reinstated Green from an indefinite suspension he received for striking Jusuf Nurkic during a contest against the Phoenix Suns. He has spent the past week ramping up his basketball activity.

The league also required Green to participate in counseling before rejoining the Warriors. The veteran recently vowed to play without "antics" and to control his emotions better.

Green was also suspended five games earlier this season for putting Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in a chokehold.

Green is averaging 9.7 points, 5.8 assists, and 5.5 boards over 15 appearances this campaign.

Golden State went 8-8 with Green out of the lineup and is 18-21 overall on the season, good for 12th in the West.
