The Washington Wizards announced Wednesday that point guard Monte Morris underwent an epidural injection and is considered week-to-week with a back injury.
Morris missed the Wizards' last two games with lower back soreness.
The 27-year-old has averaged 10.4 points, 5.3 assists, and three rebounds in 51 games in his first campaign with Washington after spending five seasons with the Denver Nuggets.
Washington could turn to veteran guards Delon Wright and Kendrick Nunn in Morris' absence.
The Wizards hold a 29-32 record, good for 10th in the Eastern Conference. Their next two games are against the ninth-placed Toronto Raptors on Thursday and Saturday.
