The NBA announced Sunday that it fined the San Antonio Spurs $25,000 for violating the league's player resting policy.
San Antonio was penalized after resting DeMar DeRozan, Patty Mills, and Jakob Poeltl for Saturday's road contest against the Phoenix Suns.
The NBA's resting policy restricts teams from holding out multiple healthy players for the same game, though a team can scratch a healthy player due to rest if it's playing at home.
The Toronto Raptors were fined the same amount Saturday for also resting healthy players.
The Spurs are 27-28 and hold the final play-in tournament spot entering Sunday's slate of games.
