Batum retires after 18 NBA seasons

Nicolas Batum announced his retirement from basketball on Monday after a career spanning 21 years, including 18 seasons in the NBA.

The 37-year-old veteran played for the Portland Trail Blazers, Charlotte Hornets, Philadelphia 76ers, and Los Angeles Clippers while in the NBA.

Batum was also part of the French national teams that captured silver medals at the 2020 and 2024 Olympics.

The Houston Rockets selected Batum in the first round of the 2008 draft before trading him to Portland.

Batum played with the Clippers during the 2025-26 season, averaging four points and 2.5 total rebounds per game.
