Paul Pierce turned 40 on Friday, and celebrated with some cakes commemorating his storied career with the Boston Celtics.
One of the desserts featured a photo from the 2008 NBA Finals, when Pierce was infamously carted to the locker room in a wheelchair following a collision. He checked back into the contest just minutes later, raising questions about how much pain he was actually in.
It's not the first time Pierce has been teased about the incident, with Doc Rivers, his coach at the time, sending him a wheelchair as a retirement gift in May.
The Truth got a kick out of the present, and yelled: "A ring came with this wheelchair! So to all you haters, BLAH!"
It's true, the Celtics won the championship that year, and Pierce was named Finals MVP.
