Watch: Fans construct basketball-inspired 'Connect 4' game
The strategy game "Connect 4" - also known as "4-in-a-Row" - is a fun distraction, as participants go head-to-head to try to line up four tokens in a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal line.
Viral video creators How Ridiculous took it up a notch by adding basketball into the mix. In their version, not only do players have to choose where to put their ball, they actually have to hit a jump shot to make it count.
Hardcore hoop heads will recall that New Orleans Pelicans point guard Rajon Rondo is a noted "Connect 4" enthusiast, but he's also a career 60.6-percent free-throw shooter, including an abominable 39.7 percent during the 2014-15 season. This might be the first version of the game in which Rondo might be at a disadvantage compared to his NBA brethren.
