The Memphis Grizzlies will release 2014 first-round pick Jordan Adams, in addition to shooting guard D.J. Stephens, league sources tell Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune.

Chosen with the 22nd pick just two years ago, Adams struggled with injuries during his brief stint in Memphis. The 22-year-old played in just 32 games over two seasons after suffering a torn meniscus that forced him to undergo a cartilage transplant last season.

In two seasons, Adams averaged 3.2 points on 40.2 percent shooting in just 8.2 minutes.

Stephens created a fair amount of buzz this preseason with his vertical, throwing down several incredible dunks during warmups. The 25-year-old was solid in preseason action, averaging nine points, 4.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists on 44.4 percent shooting.
