Daniel Norris didn't waste much time in making an impression since being traded to the Detroit Tigers.
The young left-hander took Chicago Cubs starter Jon Lester deep over the center field wall in his first career at-bat on Wednesday:
Norris became the first American League pitcher to hit a home run at Wrigley Field and was also the first pitcher to homer in his first plate appearance since Tommy Milone achieved the feat in 2011. He also became the first Tigers player to homer in his first big league at-bat since Reggie Sanders in 1974.
Not only did Norris destroy Lester's pitch, but he also did some damage to the Cubs scoreboard prior to the game:

Unfortunately for Norris, what looked to be a magical night came to an abrupt end when he was forced to leave the game in the fifth inning with an injury.

Since coming to the Tigers from the Toronto Blue Jays as part of the David Price trade, the 22-year-old has pitched to a 1-1 record with a 4.76 ERA, while also making an impressive catch in his debut with the team:
Lester's rough night continued when he allowed a grand slam to Nick Castellanos - his second home run of the game - while allowing seven runs on seven hits in 2 2/3 innings of work.
Lester had been impressive of late, posting a 2.19 ERA in his last seven starts, but his career ERA against the Tigers ballooned to 6.05, his worst mark against any team he's faced more than once.
