Just when things looked like they were turning around for the Texas Rangers, they were dealt another injury.
Third baseman Adrian Beltre left Sunday's game against the Boston Red Sox in the fifth inning after injuring his thumb on a slide into second base.

While X-rays returned negative, Beltre is expected to miss at least two weeks with a laceration and sprain to his left thumb. He told reporters that he won't swing a bat for 12 days.
It's disappointing news for the Rangers who have won seven of their last nine games entering Sunday despite 12 players occupying time on the disabled list.
The 36-year-old is hitting .251/.289/.404 with six home runs and 16 RBIs in 50 games this season.
