Dodgers clinch 13th division title in 14 years with win over Reds

The Los Angeles Dodgers added another division title to the franchise's long list of accomplishments with their 8-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday.

"It's a big deal," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said postgame, according to Jeff Wallner of The Associated Press. "I think that a lot of people think that it's just a rite of passage, (but) it's not easy. So it's something that we're all really proud of, but really understand that's not the end goal."

Kyle Tucker went 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, and three RBIs as the Dodgers took three out of four games at Great American Ball Park.

Justin Wrobleski, Blake Treinen, Landon Knack, and Seth Halvorsen combined to pitch nine innings Thursday for the Dodgers, who had to use six relievers to cover the majority of Wednesday's loss after Blake Snell's early exit.

Los Angeles has won 13 of the last 14 National League West titles and captured three World Series championships since 2020.

The Dodgers are still in pursuit of the best record in baseball, which grants home-field advantage throughout the postseason and is currently held by the Milwaukee Brewers.

Los Angeles plays its next six games at home against the San Francisco Giants and San Diego Padres before finishing the campaign on the road against the Giants.
