The San Francisco Giants blew an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning, but regained some momentum after an incredible defensive play by Joe Panik in the third.
With a runner at first, Panik made an athletic diving stab on a hard Eric Hosmer grounder and flipped to Brandon Crawford to get the force out. Hosmer appeared to beat out Crawford's attempt at a double play after sliding to beat the throw at first, but Giants manager Bruce Bochy challenged the close play.
After a lengthy review, umpires overturned the call in favor of a 4-6-3 double play - making it the first successful manager challenge in World Series history.
