The Colorado Rockies and outfielder Mickey Moniak agreed to a two-year contract extension that runs through 2028, the club announced Tuesday.
The deal is worth $16.25 million, sources told Thomas Harding and Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.
Moniak was the subject of trade rumors leading up to Monday's deadline, but he ultimately stayed with the Rockies.
The 28-year-old has hit 18 homers with 49 RBIs and an .883 OPS over 75 games this season.
Moniak has found a home in Colorado after bouncing between the Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Angels over the first five years of his career. He was selected first overall by the Phillies in the 2016 draft.
