The Blue Jays recalled pitching prospect Ricky Tiedemann ahead of Saturday's game vs. the New York Yankees, the team announced.
Tiedemann will have an opportunity to make his Major League Baseball debut this weekend as the Jays and Yankees play out a three-game set in Toronto.

Tiedemann was once viewed as one of baseball's top young arms before undergoing Tommy John surgery in July, 2024. The third-round pick from the 2021 draft was the top-rated prospect in the Blue Jays system at the time.
The 23-year-old missed the 2025 season and is currently ranked as Toronto's 11th-best prospect and its fifth-highest rated pitcher in the farm system.
