Major League Baseball suspended Seattle Mariners outfielder Victor Robles for 10 games for throwing his bat in the direction of a pitcher during a minor-league game last Sunday.
Robles is expected to appeal the decision in hopes of having his suspension reduced, according to Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times.
The 28-year-old hucked his bat toward Las Vegas Aviators right-hander Joey Estes after he was hit by a pitch for the fourth time in five games.

Robles will need to serve his suspension at the major-league level once he's reinstated from his injury rehab assignment. He hasn't appeared in a big-league game since April 6 while recovering from a dislocated shoulder.
The Mariners will also have to play a man short on the roster while Robles serves his punishment, a source told Divish.
