Yankees' Boone ejected after tossing gum onto field
New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone was ejected from Friday's game against the Boston Red Sox in the 10th inning after a replay review didn't go his team's way.
Boone was livid after umpires and replay review officials ruled a DJ LeMahieu foul ball would stand with the score at 1-1.
The Yankees skipper tossed his gum onto the field before giving the umpires a piece of his mind.

"Fair ball down the line that they miss in real time and don't have the courage to overturn," Boone said when asked why he was upset with the outcome of the replay review, according to YES Network.
"I want the courage to overturn the call. A quarter of the ball was on the line. It takes a lot of imagination to say that's fair. Whatever, it's over with."
LeMahieu was also ejected following the play. It was the 15-year veteran's first career ejection.
"Of all the things I've said to umpires, I was pretty surprised," LeMahieu said before adding that he told umpires the call was "brutal" and did not curse at them.
Earlier in the 10th, the Red Sox won a challenge when Anthony Volpe was ruled out after attempting to steal third base.
The Red Sox wound up beating the Yankees in the bottom of the 10th thanks to Carlos Narváez's game-winning hit.
Boone, who has a reputation for fiery ejections, was tossed for the third time this season.
He's been ejected 42 times since becoming Yankees manager in 2018.
