The Minnesota Twins signed first baseman Ty France to a one-year deal, according to the Star Tribune's Phil Miller.
France's contract is worth $1 million, and his salary isn't guaranteed, Miller reports.
He's expected to compete for the starting first base job.
France hit 13 homers with 51 RBIs and a .670 OPS over a combined 140 games between the Seattle Mariners and Cincinnati Reds in 2024 during the worst campaign of his six-year career.
The 30-year-old is just two seasons removed from a 2022 All-Star nod. He went deep 20 times with 83 RBIs and a 127 wRC+ across 140 contests that year.
Minnesota has only handed out three major-league contracts this offseason. Outfielder Harrison Bader and reliever Danny Coulombe also inked one-year pacts.
