Orioles get Gregory Soto in deal with Phillies

The Baltimore Orioles acquired left-handed reliever Gregory Soto from the Philadelphia Phillies for pitching prospects Seth Johnson and Moisés Chace, both clubs announced Tuesday.
Soto owns a 4.08 ERA with 11.2 K/9 across 35 1/3 innings this season. The 29-year-old is arbitration-eligible through the 2025 campaign.
The two-time All-Star ranks in the 96th percentile for fastball velocity and 87th in whiff percentage.
Johnson, 25, has registered a 2.62 ERA with 61 strikeouts over 65 innings in Double-A in 2024. He was also the No. 12 prospect in Baltimore's system, per Baseball America.
The 21-year-old Chace was ranked No. 24 after amassing a 3.46 ERA with 13.2 K/9 across 52 innings in Single-A this season.
