The Atlanta Braves signed veteran infielder Pablo Sandoval to a minor-league deal, reports MLB Network's Jon Heyman.

Sandoval will earn $1 million if he makes the major-league team.

The 34-year-old finished the 2020 campaign with the Braves after the San Francisco Giants released him in September.

Sandoval made four regular-season plate appearances for Atlanta before appearing in three postseason games during the National League Championship Series.

The 2012 World Series MVP and two-time All-Star hit a combined .214/.287/.262 last season after posting an .820 OPS for the Giants in 2019.
