Milwaukee Brewers general manager David Stearns has no intention of dealing two-time All-Star closer Josh Hader.

"Josh is a really important member of our team. We're not looking to move him," Stearns said on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM. "We've never really looked to move him. I don't really anticipate that changing."

The Brewers reportedly received a lot of interest in the 26-year-old left-hander and teammate Corbin Burnes ahead of last month's trade deadline.

Hader was available only at a "banana's price," according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

The hard-throwing reliever began the 2020 campaign by going 13 consecutive outings (11 2/3 innings) before allowing a hit.

Hader's ERA has risen to a career-high 4.61, however, following rough outings against the Chicago Cubs on Saturday and Pittsburgh Pirates on Aug. 29.

For his career, Hader has 58 saves with a 2.56 ERA, 2.86 FIP, and 15.2 strikeouts per nine innings in 166 appearances.
