The first-ever All-MLB team was revealed by Major League Baseball on Tuesday, and it's comprised of many familiar faces.

Fan votes earlier this offseason accounted for 50% of the decision, while a panel of experts made up the other half.

All-MLB first and second teams were announced:

All-MLB first team

Position players

POSITION PLAYER TEAM
C J.T. Realmuto Phillies
1B Pete Alonso Mets
2B DJ LeMahieu Yankees
3B Anthony Rendon Nationals
SS Xander Bogaerts Red Sox
OF Mike Trout Angels
OF Cody Bellinger Dodgers
OF Christian Yelich Brewers
DH Nelson Cruz Twins

Both of this year's MVPs in Trout and Bellinger highlight a star-studded first team of position players. While the Houston Astros had a league-leading six players selected to the All-MLB squads, they did not have a position player selected to the first team.

Pitchers

POS. PITCHER TEAM
SP Jacob deGrom Mets
SP Justin Verlander Astros
SP Gerrit Cole Astros
SP Max Scherzer Nationals
SP Stephen Strasburg Nationals
RP Kirby Yates Padres
RP Josh Hader Brewers

The first-team rotation features both Cy Young winners and four pitchers who participated in the 2019 World Series. Yates, who was beaten by Hader for NL Reliever of the Year, picked up first-team honors after posting a league-leading 1.19 ERA for the Padres.

All-MLB second team

Position players

POSITION PLAYER TEAM
C Yasmani Grandal Brewers
1B Freddie Freeman Braves
2B Jose Altuve Astros
3B Alex Bregman Astros
SS Marcus Semien Athletics
OF Mookie Betts Red Sox
OF Ronald Acuna Jr. Braves
OF Juan Soto Nationals
DH Yordan Alvarez Astros

The All-MLB second-team infield features the two finalists for AL MVP in Bregman and Semien, plus another former MVP in Betts. The 20-year-old Soto is the youngest player to earn All-MLB honors. Second-team catcher Grandal is the only All-MLB player no longer with his 2019 team; he signed with the Chicago White Sox earlier in the offseason.

Pitchers

POS. PITCHER TEAM
SP Zack Greinke D-Backs/Astros
SP Hyun-Jin Ryu Dodgers
SP Jack Flaherty Cardinals
SP Charlie Morton Rays
SP Mike Soroka Braves
RP Aroldis Chapman Yankees
RP Liam Hendriks Athletics

Both second-team relief spots went to the AL, where Chapman - this year's Mariano Rivera Award winner - and Hendriks produced dominant seasons. The rotation includes two star pitchers under 25 years old in Flaherty and Soroka.
