Watch: Blue Jays' Mayza brought to tears after suffering elbow injury

Toronto Blue Jays left-hander Tim Mayza was removed from Friday's game against the New York Yankees in the 10th inning after he injured himself during a wild throw.

Mayza crumpled to the ground in obvious pain before he was visited by a trainer, Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo, and several of his teammates.

The Jays announced that Mayza left the game with an elbow injury and he's currently being evaluated, according to TSN's Scott Mitchell.

Montoyo said Mayza is going for an MRI and that he immediately knew the pitcher was done "for now," according to the Toronto Star's Laura Armstrong.

Mayza entered Friday's game with a 1-3 record and 4.91 ERA in 67 appearances.
