Josh Reddick lit up the highlight reel Monday with the hottest catch of the season.
When the A's outfielder crashed into the bullpen heater while chasing down George Springer's pop fly in the seventh inning, the broadcast showed a shot of flames between Reddick's leg as he manoeuvred over the unit. Unfazed, Reddick fearlessly held on for the impressive catch in foul territory.
He told reporters after the game he banged his knee but was fine.
Incidentally, Reddick was hot at the plate, too, going 2-for-4 with an RBI double in Oakland's 7-4 win over Houston.
