When Cleveland Indians outfielder Marlon Byrd was suspended 162 games without pay after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs, retired pitcher Dan Haren took to social media to discuss the ban.

The veteran Byrd was 15-for-36 with four home runs and a .944 slugging percentage against Haren in his career, according to Rosenthal, so Haren had reason to show concern.
Byrd's suspension also didn't impress Detroit Tigers right-hander Justin Verlander or retired outfielder Torii Hunter.

Byrd, who admitted in a statement he tested positive for Ipamorelin that he may have ingested through a tainted supplement, received his second positive test for performance enhancers, becoming just the third player to receive a 162-game ban, joining Alex Rodriguez and Jenrry Mejia.
