Lyon makes Nkoulou to Torino, Darder to Espanyol moves permanent
Ligue 1 giant Lyon made a pair of loan moves permanent on Wednesday, shipping Nicolas N'Koulou to Torino and Sergi Darder to Espanyol.
Lyon released a statement confirming the sales, adding that N'Koulou leaves France's culinary capital for a €3.5-million fee, while Darder moves to La Liga on an €8-million transfer with an additional €2 million in performance-related add-ons.
N'Koulou, 28, spent last season with Torino, making 37 appearances after one season in Lyon following a move from Marseille. Darder, 24, featured in 35 of Espanyol's 38 league affairs, pairing a goal with two assists.
It's been a busy day for Les Gones, as young defender and revelation of the 2017-18 Ligue 1 campaign Ferland Mendy extended his terms with the club through 2023 on Wednesday.
